Hotel Overview

Set in a historic Benedictine monastery from 1174, Klosterhotel Wöltingerode is situated on the green outskirts of the Goslar, on the edge of the Harz Mountains. It offers 2 restaurants and a romantic cloister garden with ancient trees.
Klosterhotel Wöltingerode has non-smoking rooms with solid wood furniture and modern bathrooms. All rooms include a flat-screen TV, a telephone, free WiFi and a private bathroom with a shower and WC.
The hotel is a 10-minute drive from the centre of the UNESCO World Heritage town of Goslar. This is an ideal base for hiking or jogging along the monastery footpath, as well as cycling and exploring the Harz Mountains and nearby cultural attractions. Outdoor activities can also be arranged for groups.
In the Klosterkrug à la carte restaurant, located on the ground floor of the annex, guests can enjoy traditional German dishes, seasonal specialities and a sense of the monastic tradition, and the à la carte restaurant serves modern dishes. This is also a romantic setting for weddings or a stylish setting for family or business events.
Klosterhotel Wöltingerode is a good base for exploring the Harz Mountains. The hotel is easily accessible via the A7 and A395 motorways, the B6n road or from Vienenburg Train Station. The historic spa town of Bad Harzburg is only a few minutes away by car.

Amazing and cozy hotel with a lot of atmosphere and history. The surroundings are beautiful and there is a trail of almost 5 km on the hotel grounds which we enjoyed walking. We loved our stay and will be back :-)

Wonderful place! The hotel is located in the previous ancient monastery, has great views and a big territory. There are a restaurant, liquor production, a field with plants, a small zoo with roe deer, bees and chickens. The staff was very helpful and friendly, we arrived after the check-in time, but our key was waiting for us in a code-box. The room was comfortable, clean and big enough for two. Breakfast was rich and mega tasty. We will definitely come back!
