Hotel Overview

Castello has comfortable rooms, a pretty terrace and, most importantly, a fantastic location 200 metres from St. Mark's Basilica. It is 5 minutes walk from the Vaporetto (water bus) stop.
All rooms are air conditioned and feature Persian rugs and Murano glass lamps. Some rooms have a view of Venice's rooftops, including the dome of St. Mark's Basilica.
From reception an ancient staircase, dating back to the 1700s, takes you up to the rooms, breakfast room and the bar. A continental breakfast buffet is served each morning.
Hotel Castello has a 24-hour reception where you can get lots of useful tourist information and book guided tours, transfers, and museum tickets.

Very convenient location, within easy walk from the vaporetta stop as well as St Mark’s square.

I like the hotel and the little square in front, staff were friendly and helpful. Obviously had quirks that are to be expected in Venice.

Very good location for walkers, in the heart of old Venice. The room was clean, and the bathroom also. Except for the pillows, they need to replace them with new ones. There is no elevator. Our room was on the 3rd floor, but it was no big deal for us. Worth for money. Highly recommended 👌

Fantastic location for St Marks and surrounding sights. Very easy to get to Grand Canal. Plenty of good restaurants within 2 minute walk. Breakfast was okay but bettered by nearby restaurants for the same price.
