Ai Due Fanali is closed for renovation so my review is for Ca'Nigra Lagoon Resort. When we arrived we were shocked that the hotel was closed down and there were no information on the door what to do. A homeless person told me where to go :/ I also did not receive an email about this change. Ca'Nigra is overall a better hotel, but as we did not book to stay there we were disappointed. Our room was not as nice as it would have been in the other hotel, however the staff was very nice and the breakfast was good. Also, there is a pretty garden where you can eat the breakfast so that was amazing. The bed was comfortable with 3 pillows. The location is perfect, it was close to the "entrance" of Venice so we did not have to drag our suitcases over the island. Many did and it was painful to watch. The most surprising positive experience is that finally one hotel thought of the women who would like to put on some make up but their eyes aren't so good. The light was good and there was a magnifying mirror.

We stayed across the courtyard in their sister hotel. Ask for a ground floor room and you'll get access to outdoor space or a canal view! Great value for money in an expensive location
