Super clean, very spacious and had everything you needed and some smaller additional bonus things that make a difference like a coffee machine, extra blankets, cooking sauces/seasonings, and welcome gifts. Maribel was so warm and welcoming and couldn’t have been more helpful, getting a high chair and baby bath for us last minute, helping with our luggage and showing us where to park etc. Large terrace was a sun trap and beautiful to watch sunset. Groceries, pharmacy etc all within walking distance.

Just as the alphabet begins with the letter A, our stay started with an Amazing place called Estrela House. We were there as 4 adults and could have easily played hide and seek. Before, during, and after our stay, Maribel answered all the asked and unasked questions. Maps and guides are available on site - including one with 70 ready-made routes (this one with red cover!). Private parking is a few minutes' walk away, and near the parking lot, there is a shop open daily and late where you can stock up on breakfast items for the next day and end the day with a glass of locally, just purchased wine. The mere fact that you are reading this review means the stay was perfect - in most cases, no one bothers :) Maribel, thank you very much for your hospitality!

First thing to say is how fantastic our hosts were - providing lots of information and support before and during they visit. They simply could not have been more helpful. The apartment is of a generous size with wrap around balcony looking down onto Calheta Bay and up to the mountains. Three big double bedrooms (one en-suite) that were very comfortable. Well equipped and nothing lacking. There are two parking options - one is in a small car park opposite and one is in dedicated parking facility a few minutes walk away. Having hired a larger car I used the latter.
