Location was great, 2min walk to the Helipad, lovely and quiet, away from the busy cliff but close enough when you wanted it. Nice gardens and Outlook. Friendly cats and host. The food, whilst not included in room fare, was yum.

Great vibes. Nice staff! Lots of suggestions for cool activities like surfing, cooking classes, kayaking etc! Amazing location super central but away from the noise.

Soul homestay is such a cool little place and I’ll recommend it to anyone… The people are amazing…the atmosphere is amazing, and the food is amazing. Ran by a group of talented, inspired and creative people. The location is so close to the Cliff and they have some beautiful tours unique only to varkala. If you really want to get to know varkala, this is the perfect place to come, because the staff take pride in coming from varkala and will show you their town with passion 🧡 Their two skilled chefs provide the most amazing local food, you can tell time, effort and love goes into everything they do here Our tour guides took us to Mundro island which was an unforgettable moment…I have a beautiful memory of this place with the best people painted in my mind 🎨 but I won’t give too much away…you have to take the tour to experience it yourself! Renata was happy to help us with anything, she was very laid back, kind and warm to us. Kannan made a wonderful video of the tour to mundro, he is super talented and creative behind the camera. Charlie has an awesome surf school close by called Salty Baba, and he himself is a wonderful instructor. Talented as a surfer and as a teacher, he’ll give you confidence and trust in the water 😊 If you stay here you’ll be in good hands 😊🧡

The people are very friendly and accommodating. E.g., lifts to and from places, days out, homemade meals. I’d recommend this stay to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Varkala. I bonded well with all the staff and the other guests. If you’re looking for surfing lessons then Charlie at Salty baba lives next door and he’s an awesome instructor. I’m happy to call all the guys there my friends. Thank you for making my trip memorable
