Very friendly and helpful staff who seems to be on call 24/7! Beautiful location set among small tropical gardens with hammocks. A few mins walk from the beach. Large spacious and comfortable cottage. Breakfast is served on the 1st-floor terrace about the reception. Ample selection of food cooked fresh to order.

Really great IF you are not trying to be in the busy parts of Varkala beach. The room was very comfortable, very clean, and the staff were super friendly. Breakfast was lovely and with a range of times. Madaathil Cottages' restaurant is next door (and very good). Beach is a 1 minute walk away, and super quiet.

We stayed in two of the deluxe cottages for a week in early January and they were spacious, spotlessly clean, well-equipped and super comfortable. The position was great, close to the beach and a 20 minute walk or short rickshaw ride from the shops and restaurants of Varkala cliff. Nevin and the rest of the team were very helpful and attentive and the breakfasts were delicious with generous Western and Keralan options available.

I love so many things about this property. I had a very long therein journey, and as soon as I saw the place, I felt good. Thyoob (the owner) was here to greet me, and his professional yet friendly approach made me feel at home and welcomed. I l9ve the bed. Very clean crisp white sheets , fluffy pillows . Clean room, clean shower 🚿 after freshening up I slept like a baby. Breakfast was amazing , fresh home cooked kerelan and European cuisine. The staff were very professional and friendly but not too friendly and knew to give privacy. I wish I could have stayed longer. I will definitely return and highly recommend it. Will be recommending it to friends and family when they visit Varkala. It's my favourite place so far in Kerela. I can go on and on about it . Thanks to Thyoob and all the staff . Zeenat 😊 😊 😊

Kerala Cottage is a true gem just outside the main hustle bustle of Varkala North Cliff. The surroundings are spectacular, with a cliff top walk, several nice beaches and a temple right on the doorstep of the accommodation. The town is an easy 30 min walk on a well maintained beachside walkway with some nice cafes and restaurants along the way. There is a restaurant right next door which made some superb seafood curries. The breakfasts at the accommodation were exceptional. Our host Nevin went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and arranged a tuk tuk to come fetch us at the station as well as an onward transfer to Trivandrum. I would highly recommend staying here!

Extremely well equipped, with hairdryer, separate luggage room, good air con, tea/coffee making, and very big comfortable bed. My own garden and hammock. Good view of the sea and small private beach. The staff were always available and so helpful with big smiles. And such a fantastic breakfast, cardamom porridge and all!! It’s close to the temple too and such a fantastic puja with stick ceremony at the end, well worth seeing. Night market bit of a stretch but fun.
