We had a fabulous stay here, the accommodation and location were excellent. Diana is the best host we’ve had in our 8 weeks of travel all round Europe. She provided us with exceptional service, the communication before our arrival was great and very helpful, she organised our train pick up/departure, gave us restaurant recommendation and activities suggestion and was an absolutely wonderful host. The location is excellent, right in the middle of a lovely square and close to the lots of beautiful cafes and restaurants, and a short walk around the lake to the port. We absolutely recommend Diana’s accommodation to those wanting to stay in the beautiful and quiet, Varenna. Would love to come back again some time. PS thanks for organising the laundry for us.

Very charming, beautiful apartment in the very center of Varenna, the place where you feel immediately so much welcome!! Each detail in house is full of great taste! When we arrived the bottle of prosecco was waiting for us in the fridge, as well as juices and water. Each evening when we came back to the apartment two candle lights were lit and welcoming us outside of the entrance. So sweet!! Everything was just perfect in this beautiful apartment, but the biggest impression was made by the warm and personal hospitality of Diana, our hostess. So full of attention, so helpful and sweet, so great with the best advices!! Probably the best hostess we’ve ever met! Thank you dearest Diana! We hope to be back one day!!

We would highly recommend Casa Contrada Bella for your trip to Varenna on Lake Como. The apartment was spotlessly clean, very quiet and comfortable while right in the centre of this beautiful ancient village. Leaving the front door and turning left you are less than 1 minuets walk to the lake while turning right you are 30 seconds walk from the magnificent ancient village square with its mix of historic buildings and restaurants. Our host Diana was fantastic! You would have to travel a long way to meet a more caring and professional host. From the moment we booked our stay Diana we in contact checking to make sure we knew where we were going, helping us with a taxi and even meeting the taxi at the village square to greet us. Diana made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrive to the moment we left and simply couldn’t do enough to ensure we got the most from our stay at her lovely apartment. A truly genuine and lovely lady who shows exceptional care and attention to detail with her guests making our stay all the more relaxing and enjoyable. We look forward to returning to Varenna and Casa Contrada Bella again soon. Thanks you Diana. Paul & Teresa

What a great place to stay! Excellent location in the heart of Varenna. Room sparkling clean, with everything you need for a perfect rest. The host was fantastic, attentive, and very informative. The apartment was beautifully presented, exceptionally clean, and in a perfect location. We had a lovely welcome from the owner, and she answered all our questions and gave us some brilliant local knowledge and advice for our trip too.

Diana is the best host ever! She came to receive us at the square, showed us the place, and gave us the best and most comprehensive recommemdations for Varenna that any host has ever given us. She also went out of her way to book a reservation for us at a restaurant. Hosts have the power to make good stays excellent and unforgettable, and that's what Diana did for us in Varenna.
