We really enjoyed staying at this hotel; it was a luxury option for Indian budget choices. The place was clean and nicely decorated. Clean towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and a hairdryer were provided. The room had a working air conditioner. Since we felt cold, the hotel staff gave us a small space heater. There was a smart TV in the room, which wasn’t particularly important to us, but it was nice to listen to some good music. The hotel has a rooftop terrace with a lovely view and delicious breakfast. Breakfast was a wonderful experience – a cozy atmosphere with freshly made pancakes and omelets. Thank you! The owners are a very kind family who also recommend sightseeing spots and restaurants that are truly excellent.

Warm welcome from Saurabh, his wife and the entire staff of Gully Ghar. They arranged a transfer for us from the airport and helped to get Indian SIMs. The room was spotless and the breakfast on the terrace changed every morning. The staff is very kind and friendly. The accommodation, even though is noisy, it’s close to the main Gath. We decided to hire a guide though Saurabh for an entire day to get to know the Indian culture. Ram has been very knowledgeable and showed us many hidden places.

I loved my stay at Gully Ghar. We felt really welcome upon arriving there. Saurabh sent us a message with all the planned activities that the hostel offered and also restaurant reccomendations, so it was really nice for us because we could directly check his suggestions. The staff was really really kind and the location was incredible close to Aasi ghat. Also, it was the best breakfast we had in India! They didn't stop bringing you things to eat, and all of them were delicious :D. If I go back to Varanasi (which I'm sure I will do in a certain point), I will come back again!

Location wise , this hotel cannot be beat , close to assi ghat but also in a quiet location away from the noise ,its total value for money , i enjoyed the home cooked breakfast and the friendly staff and owner who helped with great suggestions about how to explore kashi , all in all i had a fantastic stay

The owner and everyone working there was really friendly. The owner cares so much to provide his guests with everything they need, and recommendations for everything. They provided such a delicious and generous breakfast. The rooftop is really cool, as is the lighting in the rooms. They also serve a lovely welcome tea.

The property owner Saurabh was amazing. He is very friendly and helpful . He helped us a lot in arranging boat ride for Aarthi and local guide if needed and also transport to nearby places like Sarnath. Raaj the person who works for him is very helpful and friendly as well. He can communicate in Hindi and English and takes care of you very well. He also took us to food joints to taste the famous local food. This place is near to Assi Ghat which is 5 mins walk. Not only young people or married people but also elderly people will feel very comfortable staying here.

The owner is super helpful. All the staff are very friendly. The breakfast is amazing. The rooftop is nice and good for socializing. Would highly recommend.
