Where do we even start, the host was absolutely lovely! As soon as we arrived off the ferry to the island we were warmly greeted by Hilde who collected us, drove us to the cabin and helped us get settled (we also saw some reindeer on the way haha). She also very kindly loaned is a pair of snow shoes and sticks each and advised us on the best place to take our midday walk. The next day she drove us to the local shop and the sauna which is just so lovely and so relaxing! She also informed us that she would be driving into Tromsø the next morning, offered to take us along too as we wanted to go in to see the reindeer before we left and she even sent us the link to a magical experience! The cabin is also beautifully located meaning that we got to see the auroras on our last night, the neighbours also gave us some advice on the best way to see them and Hilde took the most lovely photo of us with the auroras in the background. The cabin is also very comfortable and came with everything we needed to gook the food we got from the local supermarket. Honestly, such a lovely cabin with probably the warmest host I have ever had - I would highly recommend and would love to visit again :)

Fairy tale place, I travel a lot and never seen something that magic - it feels special to arrive in the village and get in one of those 4 cabins at the end of the dock. The cabin is on two floors, need some special care to go up and down but it's not a problem for fit adults. The location is very secluded so bring some food and drinks. We knew it, and it was exactly what we were looking for! The cabin has everything you need, warm and cosy, thank you Hilde!

Where do I start? From the minute we were collected at the airport we were welcomed and made to feel at home. We had an evening flight arrival time and then a good drive to the ferry port which meant the local shop would have been closed but the host made sure the shop would open especially for us to get some good supplies for the self-catering house. The property was warm and cosy on arrival, beds were made and super comfy. It is situated on a quiet island with nothing around but local houses so I would be aware of that when you book. We loved being out of the hustle and bustle for a few days but If you aren’t visiting for skiing / hiking then Tromso is a free ferry away with eateries and pubs.
