One of the most beautiful views we ever had: green rice fields, mountains and hot air balloons overhead. Quiet at night yet close to the city center, shops and restaurants. Nice balcony with sitting bags. Good airco that makes little noise because compressor is on the rear side of building.

We stayed in one of the sweet villas overlooking the rice fields and the karsts in the distance. We enjoyed the incredibly peaceful retreat ViengTara offered from the town. We had breakfast on our porch each morning and enjoyed the view, the birds and the warm breeze. The evenings are also beautiful with the lighting along the pathways and the views from the main patio and the villas. ViengTara was an exceptional find!

What a beautiful, professionally run, peaceful resort. If your budget allows, you MUST stay in one of the villas over the rice field. The view is exceptional and having breakfast on your deck is such a great treat. And the breakfast was out of this world. The resort isn’t really “out of town”. It’s on the other side of the creek where there is a fully lit, dedicated path to walk on. It’s a ten minute walk. We would absolutely stay again.

Wow! Stunning location, the view from our bungalow overlooking the rice fields and with sunset and the hot air balloons overhead was simply magical. Lovely staff and nice touches likes complimentary snacks and beer made it just perfect.

We booked one night at ViengTara resort. Very beautiful accommodation inside of rice fields. Not too far from town but quiet. The view on the rice fields and mountains is wonderful.

The most beautiful place in the world!!! Rice fields, mountains and hot air baloons just in front if you. The hotel is small, very clean, new, beautiful restaurant. The bed is so comfy. Everything sparkling clean. Free minibar and some snacks is a nice touch.

Wonderful place, maybe the most wonderful view I ever had from a hotel balcony ! Frogs and Crickets giving a wonderful concert every night ! Ballons making the views even more beautiful Exzellent Breakfast. Free drinks in the fridge Super friendly staff

The reception staff were very nice and went the extra mile to forward on some personal items we accidentally left behind at checkout - very grateful for that act of kindness! They also arranged a local tour and gave us good advice. The view from the restaurant/bar is completely stunning. It is the pic you see in all the Laos guidebooks.

Breakfast good. Staff very helpful. Water in bathroom luke-warm, at best. Received disturbing message from Booking.com that was completely unjustified prior to arrival about viability of credit card transaction.
