LOCAL TAX LAW.Based on local tax laws, all Chilean citizens and resident foreigners must pay an additional fee (IVA) of 19%. To be exempt from this 19% additional fee (IVA) the payment must be made in US dollars and a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. The passenger won't be exempt from this fee when paying in local currency. In case of no show the invoice will be billed in local currency, including this additional fee (IVA). This additional fee (IVA) is not included in the hotel rates and must be paid separately.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. Breakfast was great and plenty of it! The room was super large and good view of the town and port. Staff were very helpful for us in arranging dinner booking and airport transfer and also helping with maps of the area.

A marvellous hotel. Such character. Brilliant location and the balcony room we had couldn't be better positioned – wonderful to hear the street Opera and to see the Pacific in the harbour. The staff are particularly brilliant. We had such a good stay here and this is a very good hotel to stay to enjoy Valparaiso

Palacio Astoreca is a gem in Valparaiso! The hotel exceeded every expectation: spectacular location, views, breakfast, staff, spa, and comfort. Vanessa and Alfredo and the rest of the team were warm, supportive, and lovely! I will certainly return again.

The location was perfect with lovely views over the port. Valparaiso is very hilly and the hotel is on top of one of the many hills which can be challenging, although there is a funicular nearby. Our room was very nice and breakfast was very good. The staff were extremely helpful with advice on where to eat, what to see, booking a transfer to the airport and so on. We were able to check out late as we had a very late flight at no extra cost. In addition there are lovely public rooms for reading and a beautiful garden for relaxing in.
