A beautiful reception area greets you as you enter the hotel. The layout is amazing with an outdoor pool overlooking the river. The food is exceptional and very good value for money. The staff are all friendly, professional and polite. Recommended to anyone who would like a quiet stay in Lisbon. It

This was our second stay at Pestana Douro and the hotel, its facilities and staff are simply the best. The staff is very attentive and there to help you enjoy every minute of your stay. And, there is a lot to do at Pestana Douro itself, from enjoying the beautiful rooms with comfy mattresses to trying out the gym, indoor and outdoor pools and spa services. The breakfast is super tasty, with an excellent variety of cheeses, meats, pastries, warm and cold dishes for an English and continental breakfast. The restaurant and bar serve exquisite food and cocktails. And, if you want to take a stroll around, the Douro riverside is just by the hotel!

Superb staff in the entire hotel. Great river view. Modern and comfortable room. Great breakfast, varied and well prepared food and beverages. Great promenade at the back of the property allowing for walking or jogging.

An excellent hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast was great, the view from room 702 was gorgeous with balcony and set set views across the river. Everything was clean, fresh and comfortable. The hotel is a little outside of the hussle of the city but we liked that, we ubered in and out of the city with no issues and a range of 5-10 euros for single trips.

Breakfast, value for money. Welcoming was great and received even welcome drink with fruit platter from the guest service manager in the evening. The hotel has no sauna or steam room however, the inspector of the room informed us that we could use indoor pool, sauna and steam room of the next Pestana hotel and liked it. The breakfast is great and had everything. So amazing with the prosecco and hot foods and fresh orange juice. Like the glas wall of the shower. Really special designed. Great staff at the reception, restaurant and housekeeping.

Beautiful position overlooking the Douro with great views. The rooms and bathrooms were excellent and well fitted, though storage was limited if staying more than a couple of nights. Lovely to have balconies looking over the river. Staff were very well trained and helpful, and all spoke good English. Julia Borges in the evening restaurant was particularly helpful and friendly, as were the reception team, including Jorges. It was noticed by staff that we were celebrating a big birthday, and gifts were left in the room for us - a great touch, much appreciated. Buffet breakfast was superb, and extra items could be ordered at no charge. Good car parking at no cost.
