I stayed at Borgo Carpineto the night before Eroica. To my surprise, dinner was served on premises which was fantastic - bruschetta, pasta, grigliata mista, a Florentine steak expertly prepared, and cantucci and vin santo for dessert. The next morning, there was a beautiful spread of fresh pastries and juice on the table next to a fire burning in the fireplace. The owner made me a coffee on request, and I enjoyed breakfast while chatting with a couple other guests. I couldn't ask for a better stay.

Beautiful old nunnery in a stunning location. Very friendly and inviting hosts who shared their evening meal with us. Fun and kid friendly dog who likes to play with sticks.
