Great place to stay. Large, comfortable and clean space. Quiet location but close enough to everything you need. Amey, who runs the property, is super friendly and helpful. Recommended!

Amey the owner is a wonderful host who seems to have thought of everything his guests would need for their stay. I arrived early and he was still cleaning the place so it was ready for me. And it was spotless throughout. The little one bed place in a rustic old Goan cottage is delightful, especially with the covered outside space which has a fan and power point so I could sit and use my laptop in the open area. The kitchen has everything needed to cook too, with drinking water supplied. The location in the Chapora area of Vagator is really nice - it's in a quiet residential lane just a short walk to the main road which has a good little supermarket close by, some eateries and a handy taxi place opposite the new Ibis hotel. I guess it is about a 20 minute walk to Vagator beach, but I like walking and seeing life on the way. My favourite place to eat going towards the beach was Jaws bakery and restaurant, lovely pastries and I liked their South Indian dosa platter. Close to the nearby supermarket is a bus stop with regular buses to the main town Mapusa via Anjuna - Mapusa is worth a trip to see its vibrant veg and household goods market which is for locals rather than tourists. Anjuna is also worth wandering around in the day when it is quite laid back, although along with neighbouring Vagator, Anjuna is best known for its restaurants and nightclubs that party on until the early hours. I think those who choose to stay at Casamore are more likely to appreciate a quiet life and enjoy being in nature, taking long walks along the sandy beaches and exploring nearby places, such as Chapora Fort (which is definitely worth a visit for the views!).
