We had a wonderful stay at Aurora. Good location, close to main road and beach but extremely quiet. Well equipped rooms with air con & safe. Manager spoke fantastic English, gave good restaurant recommendations and was able to help us navigate the bus to get back to the airport. Would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic family run hotel with amazingly friendly staff great amenities very good location so very quiet just off the main road close to very good little restaurant and walking distance to turtle beach would definitely recommend 😁

Aurora was the perfect place to chill and enjoy the last few days in Sri Lanka. The place is a quiet, comfy tropical paradise. Room was spacious, stylish and clean. The bathrooms are just the cherry on top. Breakfast was awesome and stuff was very helpful and friendly. They even helped with a little medical issue we encountered and arranged a transfer to the airport. We truly enjoyed our stay there.

Loved our stay, we got the room which was quite spacious and absolutely in nature. The people from the hotel absolutely respect your privacy and are always there looking out for you. We accidentally took the room keys to our next place, and fortunately, the place was relatively close, but still Niro came all the way without any complain or hassle. Example of great human being in the first place. Definitely will be coming here again.

We actually stayed 7 nights here. We had the 2 bed room for the first few nights then moved to another upstairs room. All the king size beds are huge with good pillows and are firmly comfortable. It took us a while to work out that unless you hand your key in you don't get your room serviced or water topped up. There is only a top sheet on the bed so we used pool towels as blankets just for the weight. All the workers here are very friendly and helpful. There was always someone around at night when we came back from dinner. Breakfast had plenty of food to fuel the day. Juice, coffee or tea, mixed fruit plate then eggs and toast. Some mornings the monkeys would arrive around 6 am and play on the roof before sitting around to get some free bread while you have breakfast. Aurora is up a small driveway with a Wine shop on the corner by the main road. The beach is just across the road or you can walk 15 minutes up the busy road to get to the road leading into the Unawatuna hotel and café area. Some nights when we didn't want to go too far or get sandy on the beach we went to Sun & sea Hotel just across the road to the left of the driveway ( see sunset picture ) they have great traditional curries and the beer is cold. We had our last meal here before getting the taxi to the airport. The manager at Aurora arraigned a taxi at a good price and it turned out to be a very new van so it was a very comfortable 2 half hour ride. We would stay here again anytime.

Gorgeous property - we had an upper floor room with a balcony overlooking the lush gardens. Little chipmunks and butterflies on the balcony really added to the ambience! We went in rainy/off season so we got a great rate and the occasional rain added to the tropical jungle feel! (It actually only rained 1/4 days we were there at the start of June). Bedroom is decorated beautifully and is very spacious. Bathroom is half outdoors but covered by a net so no big bugs get in. Shower powerful and hot. Breakfast was plentiful - fresh fruit, eggs, toast, tea and a fresh fruit smoothie. Pool was beautiful and felt like being in the gardens of Babylon! The location was great and close to plenty of eateries. Some were closed due to off season but we enjoyed traditional curries (at a good price) in Sun and Sea hotel across the road and La Boheme did wood fired pizzas. It was a 5 min walk from the beach and a short walk or tuk tuk to turtle beach.
