We’ve stayed here a few times… it’s a good midway point if you’re driving to/from Qld. Rooms are basic but comfortable. The food in the bistro is great! A simple breakfast (cereal/yoghurt/fruit) is provided in the room.

Have stayed there previously so we know what to expect. - Lovely old pub with welcoming staff, great food selection and a stunning location. Bed very comfortable and bathroom facilities very clean.

We arrived later than planned. The reception staff was very obliging. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean.

We loved the location by the river and at the top of the pretty high street plus the traditional style of the building. We had booked two twin rooms as that was offered in booking.com but they “upgraded” one of them to a double as the central twin room was tiny and too hot.

The hotel is situated in the village which is very calm, quiet and filled with nature. It’s on the bank of Clarence river which added beauty to the town. Also there is a small park for children close by.

Excellent place to break a road trip. Room was clean as were the shard bathrooms. Breakfast supplies a the fridge were a nice surprise. Restaurant served a good selection of meals.

Location was great to break the journey to Qld. The hotel itself has character and the restaurant was great.
