Brilliant homestay with super friendly hosts. The rooms are very clean and the comfiest bed I've slept in in Sri lanka. It also had a unique bathroom with foot massage stones to walk over. Food cooked by his mother was all very tasty and big portions sizes. The owner was always ensuring I was ok and helped me organise my safari. I chose this park as I didn't want to experience the overcrowding of yala and I felt the animals were given good space and the vehicles did not seem to trouble them. I was given knowledge on the park/ animals as when we stopped- saw elephants with 10 minutes along with monitor lizard, eagle, spotted deer and an array of birds. Swimming pool is a lovely addition for those hot afternoons and again all the staff I saw were super friendly and helpful. I recommend you to stay :)

We had a wonderful night stay, Communication before (via Booking.com) and during (via WhatsApp)our stay was excellent. The photo's and description of the property and its surrounds are very accurate. Saji and family are so very welcoming & organised hosts who are only too willing to help. The breakfasts they provided were delicious but our dinner (paid extra) was so delicious. If you would like an authentic homestay, then I would definitely recommend.

Saji is the friendliest and most welcoming host we’ve met in Sri Lanka. Outstanding 1 night stay here. Fantastic safari, we saw so many animals. Despite it being holidays in Sri Lanka saji and his mother cooked us a delicious dinner. Really recommend staying here if you consider doing Safari in Udawalawe.
