The hotel is the place to be if staying in Udaipur as everyone chooses to dine there in the day and night time. The building is beautiful and our room (111) had an amazing view onto the lake on all sides. The beds are high up so you can enjoy the view. Food is tasty (when it finally arrives!)

Beautiful is reductive. After a perfect restoration, this Haveli turned into an amazing hotel. We stayed at one of the suite. Just outstanding

Location is excellent as it on the lake and faces the City palace. Hotel is attractive, clean and the staff is friendly. They have a lakeside restaurant and also serve on the rooftop. Breakfast buffet and food was good. We took the lakeside room, so we had a lovely window seat.

The location of Amet Haveli next to Lake Pichola is excellent. While you have to get through small lanes to get there, inside the property is spacious and well laid out.

The warm and professional welcome at check in desk. The view is breathtaking from rooms and the location is close to most of city centre attractions. I would recommend renting a bike to cover the city tourist spots including driving around the lakes and sajjangarh palace.

The Amet Haveli is amazing in so many ways. The location is unsurpassed with sweeping views of Lake Pichola but not in the noisy, seedy area next to the City Palace. The location is, in my opinion, better than the locations of the Oberoi, Leela Palace, Lake Palace, etc. (Those are all much higher-end, higher luxury 5-star hotels that are an order of magnitude more expensive and more luxurious.) The rooms we had (lake view suites) were beautiful, spacious, light and airy, and clean. While the overall property has some delayed maintenance (like most places in India), the actual rooms are in very good shape with marble floors, carved wood detailing and nice wooden and upholstered furniture. The shower is spacious with hot water and strong pressure. The breakfast buffet was incredibly affordable with a large selection of Indian and Western options. The dinner was great, too -- and quite affordable by Western standards. We had Christmas dinner at Amet Haveli, and we enjoyed the buoyant atmosphere and the gorgeous views of the water and the Water Palace. The staff are as attentive and responsive as possible, frequently doing as much as possible to help you with special requests. In its price range, the After having stayed at the Oberoi in Agra and having a so-so experience at an exorbitant price, I decided that I can't justify these extremely high prices for some of the Indian hotels. I have found that they almost all have some cleanliness and service issues. Amet Haveli is an exceptional value — providing a feel of luxury, living like the Majarajah for an affordable price.
