Waking up with the tranquil sound of a waterfall and the tweet of some birds… Going down 126 steps through a jungle forest and have an early morning swim in a fresh river basin. Having an amazing delicious breakfast before a relaxing balinese massage. Discover the beautiful rural area of the small local village or nearby vibrant Ubud. Having the most delicious dinners of our travel before a deep 10 hour sleep. Thank you Bene and all the lovely balinese family for your warm welcome at your wonderful place. Our start to discover Bali and Indonesia couldn’t have been better. We will be back one day! Marc & Maro

Villa Kalisat’s unique location within a local family village allows a look into the actual culture of Bali. Everything about the villa is exceptionally beautiful and the staff go above & beyond to ensure an exceptional experience. A special thank you goes to Dewi & Candra for their warm welcome. The backdrop of the jungle, river & waterfall on site complete this paradise. This is my second visit here while in Bali and it did not disappoint. The meals on site were delicious & had a good selection.

Perfect location outside of busy Ubud, but still close to it. Stunning views, spacious and well equipped rooms, great food, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Owner Benny made us feel very welcome.

It was our second time in Kalisat and we enjoyed as much and more. What stands out: - The surroundings. The place is in a jungle and the sound of a river, frogs and the beautiful scenery makes it very special. - Untraditional hotel experience. You actually have to pass through the Balinese family lands and houses to get to the villa as it is situated on their land at the back of their village. Therefore you have an opportunity to see how local people live. Our 7y daughter made friends with local kids and spent most of her time playing with local kids and dogs. - People. Hotel staff and village family are so friendly and kind, you do not feel like staying in a hotel really. More like home. You really feel being taking care of. - Breakfast has a lot of variety and is of abundance. - Hotel has only 7 rooms located on different levels. Rooms and villa itself are beautifully designed, spacious, pool right in front. - Easy access to Ubud by taxi or scooter, approx 15 min. Hard part is not logistics, its finding the inner strength to get out of the pleasant Kalisat environment :) Thank you Bene, Dewa and Kalisat team

We had a magical time at Villa Kalisat. We found it here on booking.com and the reviews we read before booking were true. The room, the view, the river waterfall beneath the property (accessible by stairs). We ended up not visiting other waterfalls in the area since we could be all alone by a waterfall just beneath the place we stayed. It is located within a smaller Balinese community where many of the staff lives with their families. On this topic, the lovely staff and the owners makes every effort to make you feel at home. Thank you Bene, Kim, Dewa and everyone else at Kalisat for a memorable stay.

Serene & magical surroundings & views to the river & down the valley away from the hustle & bustle of Ubud. Nature at its best seeing beautiful butterflies, dragonflies & birds as well as frogs & monkeys. Owners Bene & Kim & all the staff were fabulous, helping us out for everyday needs, booking trips & when we required more help, all carried out with obliging & genuine care & attention. The community were all very kind & welcoming. We were well rested when we left. Will be back 🥰
