We stayed at this place for five nights, and I absolutely loved it. It’s set above a river in a beautiful natural setting. We were welcomed with two mocktails and a bowl of fresh fruit. The staff is incredibly friendly and always smiling. There’s also a massage service available. The restaurant is vegetarian and absolutely delicious—I especially loved their mushroom soup. Yoga classes are also available. Also, a note: if you’re not a fan of insects, this might not be the place for you. Geckos come into the room and leave little droppings here and there 🤣. There was also a beehive in the bathroom and two frogs that occasionally took over our bathroom. This didn’t bother us, as we appreciated the natural surroundings, but I want to mention it for anyone reading this.

Room is spacious and I like the earthy, natural tone decor. The retreat is full of exotic plants and it makes you feel energetic to start your day. Vegetarian breakfast is tasty.

For those looking for a secluded, quiet accommodation that embraces natural, (presumably) local bamboo materials this is a wonderful choice in Ubud area. Every detail is thought of in the bungalows in terms of its natural bamboo interior; even the AC was beautifully covered by wood. The bed was comfortable, the outdoor shower a lovely extra besides the indoor shower and a bath, the bed nicely under a mosquito net as this is indeed in the nature and there are mosquitoes. I enjoyed every dish and I would bet that even non-vegans and non-vegetarians would well survive with the kitchen of this small resort. Some commentators mentioned the frogs, yes, there are frogs and other animals in the nature! :-) During my stay there was a retreat (which I wish would have been communicated to me while booking), but the resort arranged a very good Balinese yoga teacher for private classes. Although they couldn’t be arranged in the shala did to the retreat, it was still lovely to start days with yoga in such a calm environment in front of my bungalow. Finally, the architecture of this place is magnificent, it’s been designed with a Vision. I’ve visited Bali numerous times, and must say Solana ranks very high on my long list!

I am so grateful that I found Solana. Or maybe Solana found me? This place is a slice of hidden paradise. It backs onto a running river with lush rainforest around it and the gardens are just simply stunning. The food was amazing. But most importantly, the staff went above & beyond to accommodate my needs. They made the stay impeccable. The rooms were very clean & stunning! Such great value for money. Although this venue is 25/30 minutes away from the main centre of Ubud, I enjoyed getting a scooter in when needed. It added to the adventure. This place is PERFECT to unwind and heal the soul.

Beautiful hotel, the pool and breakfast area are gorgeous and breakfast is amazing. The rooms are with outside bathroom and shower are uniquely designed.

Incredible views out across the river, a waterfall and volcano in the distance. Yoga classes were a wonderful way to start the day as well as a 2 course healthy breakfast. Great location too 20-30mins to the centre of Ubud
