HeyD “A peaceful oasis amongst the rice fields close to Ubud”

We had a great 4 night stay at Malaya Villas tucked away by the rice fields and away from the busyness of Ubud. The villa was very comfortable, beautifully decorated and spacious. It had a large wooden balcony and an amazing "outdoor" bathroom which we loved. Another highlight was a very affectionate neighborhood cat that came to greet us every day! Breakfast was plentiful and we could choose between different menus. The garden around was very pretty and peaceful and had a beautiful swimming pool, not forgetting great massages we booked to have in a small poolside "pagoda". The owner Zoli was very helpful and organized our first day transfer from the airport to Ubud. There is some construction around as many villas are being built in the surrounding area but the noise was minimal and didn't bother us. Would definitely stay here again!

It was somewhat out of town (Ubud) which reduced the number of tourists you encountered. You also have to cab it into the centre, and the traffic was quite heavy - so give yourself time. Zoltan was a great and welcoming host, with lots of information. The rooms are well appointed with tv/Ntflix, if needed. We were there for New Year, so it was not too loud which really suited us.

Beautiful old wooden houses - nice terrace - quiet - amazing garden and a great pool. For those who need their television - huge tv with Netflix and youtube premium - minibar in the room All amenities there: Beautiful bathroom with rain/normal shower and a bath - -bath-robes - fohn - slippers etc. Breakfast is served in the room. There are good resto's nearby.

Lovely accommodation with 3 individual joglos, private, quiet, gorgeous balconies with a day bed and outdoor setting, amazing views. Well looked after gardens, lush and tropical green, pathways joining reception, accommodation and the pool. Pool was refreshing, shade available with a comfortable day bed, for the sunbathers, there are 2 pool lounges. Breakfast included, a variety of choices daily. Walking distance to local restaurants.

We had a good experience here. Zoli was very welcoming and explained the places around. Breakfast was good, and it was a really quiet place. I would recommend it if you are looking for an authentic jungle experience, in between the rice fields.

If you’re someone that wants the real Ubud experience, this is perfect for you. It’s not on the main road so road noise is no issue and they organised all the activities like snorkeling in Nusa Penida and rafting for us, some activities were offered at a discounted cost also as the Malaya Villa were Members. Staff are incredibly kind and made experiencing everything we wanted in Ubud a breeze. I HIGHLY recommend this stay.

The site is very quiet and greeny away from traffic and noises. The owner was very friendly and helpful, tried to fulfill all our wishes. The breakfast was excellent.
