Resort Ibah (formerly Ibah Luxury Villas & Spa)

This is a very difficult hotel to review, possibly because we are not the right demographic for this property. It looked exactly like the photos, tradional buildings in lush surrounds. However despite reading other reviews which mention the stairs, we weren't really prepared for the sheer number and uneveness of them. Added to the fact there were no railings to hang on to it made getting anywhere from our villa a bit difficult. We are in our 70's and fairly fit and normal stairs are no problem. But these are rough stone, differeing heights and so many of them. To younger, fitter visitors this is clearly not an issue. The villa was huge and the private pool very nice. But it wasn't very comfortable, bed and bedding is mentioned below. I am also not a fan of the outdoor shower. During the day it was tolerable but not at night with so many critters flying around the light. The internal bath had a shower over it but no screen so water went everywhere. The staff were all lovely as we found elsewhere in Bali. Breakfast was a la carte and served in the outdoor restaurant. There were many options both western and local, but became a bit tedious after a week. There is a free shuttle bus into and back from the main area every 2 hours. It is quicker to walk, but it's hot, humid and uphill on very rough and broken footpaths. It usually took 15-20 mins on the shuttle to go about 1 km. But it was airconditioned and convenient. A couple of days there would have been fine, but a week was too long for us.

Our stay here was nothing short of extraordinary. The entire hotel was impeccably clean and tidy, making it a pleasure to relax in such a well-maintained environment. The serene atmosphere added a calming touch to my stay, allowing me to truly unwind and escape from the hustle of daily life. The staff were incredibly attentive and went out of their way to ensure every guest felt valued. They genuinely catered for all needs, whether it was arranging personalized excursions, accommodating dietary preferences, or simply offering thoughtful recommendations for local attractions. What truly set this hotel apart was how they consistently went above and beyond to create a memorable experience. From the little surprises in the room to the warm, friendly service, every aspect of my stay was infused with care and attention to detail. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and outstanding service. It’s a place I can’t wait to return to!

Ibah Hotel in Ubud was simply fantastic! It's nestled in the middle of lush greenery, like an oasis, in such a peaceful location in Ubud that everything is within walking distance. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff was incredibly warm, friendly, and kind. The hotel itself is small, but the rooms are private with stunning views of the green jungle, and the sound of the river below adds to the relaxing atmosphere. I absolutely loved it! Highly recommend!

Ibah Hotel Bali provided us with exceptional care during our stay. When my wife fell ill with food poisoning, the staff kindly extended our checkout time and promptly arranged for a doctor. Their attentiveness was truly impressive. The hotel grounds are peaceful and beautifully maintained, offering a serene escape just a 5-minute walk from the bustling town center. The rooms, designed in a traditional Balinese style, are absolutely stunning, and the daily breakfast was excellent. With incredibly friendly staff who go above and beyond, Ibah Hotel is the perfect blend of comfort, beauty, and great service. Highly recommend!

Couldn’t have better experience for my stay in Ubud. I stayed in a suite with a fantastic view over the jungle. Every morning had my coffee watching the squirrels having their breakfast on the tree opposite my terrace. The batch is one of a kind experience with a view over the jungle, couldn’t wish better. They have taken care about every single and small detail you can think about, including candles for the bath. I’ve bought some wooden candle holders before, so I’ve used them and it was incredibly enjoyable. Water refill, umbrellas for rain, toiletries of a high quality, welcome fruit. Breakfast is great, pools are so well maintained, staff is helping you around the pool and serve water with lime. I stayed for Christmas, they have taken care and have organised events for the Christmas eve, Christmas day and a traditional Balinese theatre show at the evening. Special thanks for the staff, lovely, warm and beautiful people work here. They are always dressed in traditional clothes which I really loved.

The whole place was simply amazing - extremely luxe! We've been to alot of hotels over the years and this is the absolute best so far. Heaven in the middle of the jungle - you can tell it was a palace, the architecture is stunning. We'll 100% be coming back, it was central but had a shuttle if needed, and felt like a world away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. The staff were amazing and the gardens are simply glorious - surrounded by the sound of the river and jungle critters.

This is a very special and unique place. My stay at Ibah was nothing short of magical. Stepping into the hotel, I felt like I had been transported back in time, surrounded by an atmosphere that seemed centuries old yet wonderfully preserved. The lush, serene environment and the exquisite, historic architecture truly made me feel like I was in a wonderful ancient sanctuary. The cleanliness is impeccable and the mattress is extremely comfortable. Not to forget the magnificent view from the balcony ( and also from the bed when you awake)! It is quiet and you fall asleep to the sound of birds and the gentle rush of the river. I also did enjoy the quality of the 4 different types of tea and the fact that the rooms are tastefully and lovingly decorated. The food is delicious and the employees are very friendly and attentive.The management (Mr. Mika) is first class and contributed to a perfect and hasslefree experience. Initially, I had planned a brief stay, but the enchanting charm of Ibah compelled me to extend my visit. Every moment felt like a journey through history, with the hotel’s timeless beauty and tranquility captivating my heart. If you are looking for a place that combines history, beauty, and a touch of magic, Ibah is an absolute must-visit.
