The room was very nice, spacious, with an amazing balcony overlooking the Ayung River valley and pool. The four poster bed was extremely comfortable. Room facilities were modern but retained traditional Balinese charm. Not well advertised, but the walkway passed stone carved cliff face and temple leading to a stairway all the way down to the Ayung River is well worth the effort. The staff are lovely and very helpful, especially in the restaurant. Meals were exceptional.

Very special resort with facilities build on the slopes towards the river with staff hyper motivated to make your stay superb. The restaurant and cooks needs also a reward. both western and Indonesian plates are spot on and with great tastes.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the stunning Ayung Resort in Ubud, Bali, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment I checked in, I was greeted with the warmest welcome by the friendly and accommodating staff, setting the tone for an exceptional stay. The resort itself is a paradise. My room was spacious, elegantly designed, and impeccably clean, with a private balcony offering breathtaking views of the lush jungle. Waking up to that serene scenery was pure bliss. The restaurant is another highlight—a true culinary delight! The food was beyond amazing, and the views from the dining area made every meal unforgettable. Every bite felt like a celebration of flavors, and I genuinely looked forward to every dining experience. One of the unique touches was the photo shoot, which was such a thoughtful and memorable addition to my stay. It’s little details like this that truly set Ayung Resort apart. Another standout experience was the spa. I had the Heavenly Package at their DEWI Spa, and I swear to God, I haven’t felt so relaxed in over a decade. It was pure magic—every moment felt like a retreat for the soul. Lastly, I have to mention the incredible warmth and hospitality of the Balinese people. Miss Kim

The restaurant in the resort prepare us the breakfast and dinner is the best for our whole trip to Bali. The view from the restaurant is also very nice.

The resort is really nice and it was quiet when we were staying there so pools were never busy. It is out of the city and therefore a quiet location, but getting taxis is easy via the grab app. We did some of the excursions organised by the hotel- the bicycle tour was our favourite - make sure you bring some cash to buy some of the local black bee honey.

I really loved the gardens at Ayung Resort. It’s an amazing oasis set right in the jungle. The gardens are also immaculately maintained. The other stand out feature for me was the restaurant. The food was delicious. There is a wide variety to choose from. Breakfast is very generous. I am a coeliac & the staff went out of their way to ensure that I could have gluten free food that was presented so beautifully & really really tasty. I opted to eat Indonesia food each evening. The staff were just lovely too. Caring, kind & always polite. Ubud really has the true feeling of Bali. My room had a great view out over the pool & into the jungle. The room was clean & was a large size with a large bathroom.
