I recommend to stay in at The View . Its situated on the very end of Tynemouth by the sea and the channel where the ferries are sailing by . Lovely walk in to the village and good breakfast . The host Graeme is very kind and was very helpful for me on the dy as I could leave my car parked for a few more hours before I had to set off to the ferry

Absolutely fantastic views. Excellent location. The bed had an amazing mattress. We were up early but wish I could have had another night's sleep in it. We'll definitely be back.

The room had dual aspect views to the Tyne and the sea, including the Abbey. It was close to local walks along the river and sea. Graeme was friendly and very helpful and even offered us a lift. It's ideally situated in a quiet spot, but very close to Tynemouth and the Fishquay eateries.

The Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade Watchhouse museum next door is a very special place. It was created by the local people after a disastrous shipwrecking in 1864. I absolutely recommend staying here and asking the volunteers for some stories. The stories are related to the objects that made it to the shore. They are never easy stories, but absolutely need to be told. Just an awing place! Very inspiring to see how people have been giving their lives to safe those in dire need. S.O.S. MESSIS AB ALTIS Also Graem (Graham ) is a very hospitable host!

It is very close to city centre as well as metro and bus services, the room we stayed in had a balcony and the sea was directly in front of us which was really lovely.

The views are tremendous and the location could not be better, right next to the castle and sea front and only a 5 minute walk to the town centre.
