We loved our stay. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is great. The free use of a washing machine with free wash power was a great bonus. There is tea coffee sugar and oil for cooking in the apartment.

Location is perfect for the Tongariro River. Separate lounge and dining area. Good kitchen and two separate bedrooms. Heat pump a bonus for cooling

I got the whole house basically for myself, you could live in it permanently. Owners are extremely nice and helpful. I came for the Tongariro alpine crossing, but unfortunately it was snowing on the mountain; there are other things around to do, but they require a car.

Cabin was spacious . There is plenty of bedding. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans etc . Surprisingly quiet due to it location next to state highway 1. Will definitely be staying there again in the future

We’re regular visitors, breaking the journey from Wellington to Auckland. We love the relaxed vibe, especially when travelling with a dog. The proprietors are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location is great, easy to find off SH1 and an easy walk to the fabulous Tongariro River, making it a particular hit with fly-fishers. It’s an older motel, so not necessarily state-of-the-art when it comes to all the facilities, but it’s always clean and comfortable, has everything we need and is a very welcome break from the road.
