Fantastic ambiance and character: an old palace refurbished but not over-done. Excellent breakfast, extraordinary location in the narrow streets of the Medina. The taxi booked through the hotel drops you off and the driver guides you along about 50 metres of alley way too narrow for any car. No lift, and probably no rooms without at least a few steps. The English-speaking staff were very helpful.

In the heart of the Medina of Tunis, in a quiet alley that is however two turns from the city's souks, there is this fabulous nineteenth-century palace now a hotel, where you will feel at ease. Very kind staff, the hotel is clean, comfortable and welcoming. Breakfast with many choices and plentiful, we also had dinner there: the restaurant is in a beautiful room with cross vaults, the food is exquisite and the manager is a Tunisian gentleman who is really kind and helpful. We will return soon!

The staff were very nice. The hammam and massage were amazing! Room was very nice in an antique style. Breakfast was delicious. I really liked the location in the medina, which was great in the daytime for wandering around and taking photos

Ignore all the privileged comments about not being reachable by car or needing modernising. It is a beautiful historic place converted into a hotel in an ancient part of Tunis, away from the business of the city (so no car noises!). It has beautiful details and is very serene inside. The staff offered cleaning of room daily and were very helpful. Our traditional suite was quiet, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The occasional sound of the street cats and call to prayer adds to the charm. A very unique stay, close to the Medina attractions and convenient.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful! Authentic and breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious and the staff so friendly. The lady at reception (safina i think) helped us get an bolt to fetch us which was very helpful.

The hotel design is beautiful, staff is very friendly and location is great If you have a car however you will need to park it in a 5min walk parking lot underground and drag your bags to the hotel

Scenic views really helpful staff inside the picturesque Medina de tunis. They also have a great restaurant and hamam both of which you must try! Each room has each one hamam turned into a bathtub ! We must also thank saida for her help

I loved this Palace, the traditional Tunisian architecture is amazing and this Palace was reflecting the rich history of the place. The staff was also very friendly and helpful ❤️

Breakfast was varied, a mix of continental and Tunisian. - The whole building was impressive as were the rooms. - The hotel is in the middle of the medina, which means that your taxi will drop you off at the gate and you have to walk to the hotel. However, we loved the location but you have to be aware that the streets around the hotel can be very busy during the day and rather quiet at night. In my opinion that was no problem, because the traders don't hustle you too much and the whole area felt VERY safe. I think it is a very good place to stay at when exploring Tunis.
