I felt like a privileged guest staying in someone's palatial home. This is a beautiful and lovingly restored house. My bed was comfy with super soft sheets and breakfast was served in the atmospheric courtyard.

Perfect location at a very competitive price (by far some of the best value for money for the travelers). The room and the hotel were quite special (historical, but perhaps no luxurious), very friendly staff - and a very nice breakfast (photo included although it is only a part of breakfast, which was quite full).

It was a beautiful place with traditional decorations! The people and the stagaire girls were amazing, always ready to help and accommodate you! The included breakfast was delicious every day and the lady making it was super sweet! Overall super clean and lovely hotel with great location in the Medina! I would definitely come back!

This Dar has a well-deserved reputation for its exceptional ambience and service. Located in the medina, close to the souks, the building is old and impressive, restored in beautifully styled decor and artefacts. There are lots of places to sit and relax, including a rooftop terrace. Breakfast and dinner are served in the central atrium, and the catering is excellent. Equally excellent staff supported our stay, willing to chat and assist with travel tips and advice on where to eat. Close to museums and hammams, you can venture out of the bounds of the tourist-focused medina and explore more widely around surrounds of central Tunis. Get the Bolt app for a better local taxi service.

We loved our stay at Ben Gacem. Located in Medina but in a quite part near many nice cafes and restaurants. After crossing the door of the Dar we entered a traditional, nice decorated yard and felt very welcomed. Our room was so beautiful, like a small palace: amazing ceiling and wall decoration, beautiful carpets. We enjoyed the view of the roof top and we had the best breakfast! we will definitely come back!

Located in Medina in a quiet street, very calm at night. Feels like you’re at home. The rooftop is super cosy with a great view on the medina.
