The location on the beach, far from Tulum town is idyllic. Smiling staff great you, a pleasant welcome. A simple room, clean with a nice fragance. The room had a kettle for coffee or tea.

The hotel is really beautiful! A modern building with an amazing garden, pool area and beach. The location on the beach front is very important since there is almost no public beach access in whole tulum. The rooms are super clean and nicely decorated. Also, the food and drinks at the restaurant which belongs to the hotel are very delicious. The staff is super friendly and helpful! It's located close to shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars which are really nice and not as expensive compared to other places in the zona hotelera of Tulum. Also, there is free parking right across the street. Tulum itself wasn't really our taste since everything is super expensive (in the zona hotelera even for european standards). With Maria del Mar we made an excellent choice and really enjoyed our stay. We can totally recommend staying at this hotel.

Lovely vibes. Warm clean pool (cleaned every day). Exceptional staff. Beautiful food. Extreme comfortable loungers. Stunning views. Very clean room. Great air condition in room.

Lovely spacious rooms, good running water, facilities good. Local beach and beach chairs and towels. Lovely area to sit at the top and overlook the water in swings.. Staff were friendly. Food on the menu at restaurant was also good!

Hotel room was super spacious, hotel staff were friendly and helped with luggage. Although property a little further out from the centre area still walkable. There were enough beach chairs to lay on with a mini almost private beach and other options nearby

The staff were amazing, so helpful and kind. I can’t fault this place at all it was just beautiful. The photos on booking.com don’t do justice. In terms of location it depends what you’re looking for. It’s hard we have found in Tulum to have the perfect location. If you only want to relax then it’s 10/10 if you want activities then you will have to get transport but again that’s most places in Tulum. If you’re renting a car then no qualms Thank you to all the hotel staff you do an amazing job
