Hotel Overview

This award-winning 18th-century former coaching inn combines original character with modern luxuries, including king-size beds, media centres, powerful rain showers and free Wi-Fi.
In the village of Loans, on the outskirts of Troon, the The Loans Inn is located in the heart of Ayrshire, within easy reach of the region's many superb golf courses. Close to the A78, the hotel offers easy access to Troon, Ayr and Glasgow Prestwick Airport.
Beautifully renovated, the inn combines modern style and comfort with old Scottish charm, boasting original stone walls and roaring fireplaces.
The spacious, individually designed rooms are stylish and contemporary, with state-of-the-art comforts. The large, flat-screen TVs have media centres, allowing you to connect your MP3 player, laptop, digital camera or DVD/Blu-Ray player. There are even MP3 connectors and dedicated speakers in the en suite bathrooms.
The bar and restaurant offer locally sourced food and there is an impressive outdoor terrace.

The welcome was warm & friendly. Right from the get go to us checking out, all the staff we came into contact with couldn't do enough for us. This was our 3rd stay for just 1 night.

Arrived early they managed to have rooms for us. Very clean & warm. All staff were helpful & approachable. Big thanks to Brian at night he attended to us great. Food was excellent. All facilities were spot on. Will definitely return

We had a lovely, comfortable stay over New Year. We wanted a nice, chilled, cosy few days and that's exactly what we got at the Loans Inn. The food was lovely, I was very impressed with the vegan options available. The room was lovely, very comfortable and clean. We also loved how dog friendly the hotel was, our pup had the best time and it was lovely that she could dine with us. We appreciated the recommended doggy walks, the location was great, a lovely walk into Troon.

Very nice small hotel. Great bar & restaurant area that serves an excellent Scottish breakfast. The room was a good size with a very comfortable bed. I’ll definitely be back.

My family and I just loved this bright, clean and super friendly hotel. It just oozes warmth and comfort, plus our dog was welcomed too. The food was great too, we couldn’t find a flaw while we were there and still can’t. We will recommend this place to anyone.
