The friendliness of the staff. Very relaxing environment, great walks around the area of the hotel. Pool and gym are good. Service was excellent, from reception, porters, bar and restraunt. Great hotel for dogs, they are made to feel welcome. Room 106 a superior double had amazing views over the golf course and sea to snow capped Isle of Arran.

Location is great. It has a nice old world charm to it. All the staff are friendly and polite. The rooms are decorated nicely, to a high standard. The breakfast was good - but severely lacking in vegan options. Again, no fault of the staff who were very attentive. The hotel's big plus points are the location, the building and most of all the staff.

The staff were wonderful. Lovely doormen, and the waitress who served us in the Rabbit was great. Gorgeous hotel, amazing spa, great food, fab location. It was a Christmas present for my husband and we were both delighted. We asked for a late checkout and it was no issue whatsoever, so that was also a nice touch.

The staff were extremely pleasant, check in took quite some time, we couldn’t get booked at the time we wanted for dinner so walked into the town which was about 25mins from hotel.

Wonderful Hotel with heaps of country house character. Food was fantastic and reasonably priced. Relaxed atmosphere. On our stay there was an abundance of dogs . Great if your a dog lover .which we are. Room was very clean with a great shower. Great gym and pool. Highly recommend this location and hotel.
