Very nice, super clean & very comfortable, cosy & warm. Free parking and good WiFi. Lovely staff. They explained everything very clearly about how to use the onsen. Gave us green tea. Lovely restaurant across the road that also belongs to them.

Fantastic ryokan. Very comfortable, with attentive staff. The building is a converted fire station, which gives it a modern and clean feel while being traditionally furnished, so you get the best of both worlds. Cosy cafe downstairs.

The welcome was outstanding! It really felt like the owners value their guests. I loved the modern/traditional design of the hotel, the artwork (by the owner's uncle) and the location; it is one of the further hotels from the train station, but this means it's nice and quiet, and it's only a few minutes' walk from two of the onsens – and the onsen eggs café! Lovely yukata, with winter option. Super-comfortable bed, and spotlessly clean bathroom. Great breakfast and matcha latte in the café downstairs before leaving too. I genuinely loved everything about my experience.
