Samantha “Amazing ryokan experience with the friendliest hosts”

The Yamada family were super friendly hosts. From the welcome card, and explanation of the onsens and how to wear yukata, to making sure we have umbrellas when we travelled in the rain, we could always feel their hospitality. I requested and paid extra, but I also highly recommend getting the Matsuba crab kaiseki meal when its in season during late Fall and Winter. It is a little pricey but it was very filling and each course was skilfully created and absolutely delicious. The ryokan is near a couple of the town's onsens but there is a little walk tk get to the rest of them. It's worth it though as each onsen has its own charm.

- Staff was incredibly nice and helpful. - Building was traditional yet modern and very enjoyable. - Amenities were great (everything provided from Yukata to traditional slippers) - Luggage storage pre-check-in and transport to pickup point near train station after checkout. - Close to Onseji temple and hiking paths/cable car as well as several of the public Onsens within 5min walk.

A ryokan run by a local family. We had a great time with Yamada-san and his family. Clean rooms, great service and just all around very caring and friendly. We hope to stay there again some time and are thankful for the experience. Thank you very much!
