95 year Old building , you can borrow the beautiful yukatas that is the owner’s mum’s collection and free to use to dress up and walk around the streets. The owner’s mum also does a tea ceremony for you after check in during the houses of 3-4.30pm, with her own blend of green tea. The owner takes beautiful photos for your family. 2 Onsite family onsen, which is also used as seperate male and female onsen in the day.

This was a perfect place to stay. A lovely, low key family run ryokan, not as upmarket as others around but makes up in heart and atmosphere. My room was calming and warm, the futon and bedding itself was very comfortable. The included meals were easily worth the cost alone. Most of the staff had differing levels of English, so with my above basic Japanese, communication was never an issue. Easily the most comfortable and welcoming place I stayed, it felt like I truly was a guest in a local’s home. The best part was that they were solo friendly, one of the few places I came across in Kinosaki that were open to a solo traveller.

As a solo traveller I really appreciated the warm welcome. The staff were all very kind and accommodating of any questions. Facilities were lovely and as long as you know that you are staying in a traditional Japanese style accommodation you'll have a great experience.

Close to the train station, extremely friendly and helpful staff, delicious dinner and breakfast. What I enjoyed most was the experience of getting to choose from a wide range of beautiful kimonos (for the ladies) to have our photos taken. Exceptional service from the staff.

The family who owns the place for generations is super nice, the matcha tea ceremony was such a meditative thing to see. We had a wonderful experience, we just wish we would have booked their dinner early enough. s So definitely ask about it when booking.
