The fine print
Tortuguero and therewith the property are only accesible by boat or plane. The last boat connection is at 16:00 from La Pavona, which is about 3-4 hours drive from San José if there no major incidents on the road.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. Very friendly people, it’s a quite area since it’s a few meters behind the Main Street. The hostel organizes tours and the guides are amazing!! Professional guides, making you feel comfortable. Cozy rooms and comfortable beds!

What a beautiful spot. The whole hostel area is spacious, green, loads of communal hang out areas, hammocks, day beds, massive communal kitchen. This was our favourite place in all of Costa Rica! Their in-house tours are fantastic and the staff is so polite, helpful and service goes beyond your expectations. Thank you!

Aracari was extremely clean and comfortable, and the staff could not be kinder or more considerate. The dorm was super clean, spacious, and well equipped with a fan and lamp for each bed, two bathrooms between five people, and plug sockets by each bed. I actually didn't need the fan most nights anyway. WiFi was good in all area. I recommend booking your tours through the hostel since the prices were similar everywhere but Aracari supplied rain ponchos, binoculars, etc. which others didn't have. The Costa Rican drip coffee in the kitchen was also great.

Friendly staff, nice cooking area and socialising area. 1 minute walk to restaurants, sodas, beach, shops. Room cleaned daily with fresh towels.

The verandah above our room was a tucked away sanctuary with a lovely breeze that we enjoyed whiling away some time on watching the world go by. Staff were helpful and the tours we did fun. Particularly Andreas night tour. He was so informative and excited by nature.

it was a great location in the middle of the town tortuguero. they gave us great information about the boat to get there. staff was very friendly and helpful and showed us to great restaurants and helped with us with booking tours.
