Enjoy a historic setting and magnificent views from this 10th-century castle, carefully restored as a luxury hotel but still retaining much of its original charm.
The Parador de Tortosa’s setting in the Beceite Mountains allow to look out over the green Ebro Valley and the ancient city of Tortosa. It was originally built by the Moorish King Abderramán III, but over the centuries has been updated in a Gothic style. The interior is traditionally Christian, with vaulted ceilings, wood beams and antique-style, wooden furniture.
Take in the stunning views from the spacious sun terrace or the outdoor seasonal swimming pool. You can then try some of the typical Catalan cuisine served in the hotel restaurant – a charming venue with exquisite stained-glass windows.

It is always a privilege to stay in an old building. The location is always stunning as are the views. The bathrooms are wonderfully large and the rooms are comfortable.

Impressive tenth-century castle. Excellent restaurant. Nice breakfast too. Plenty of parking at the Parador grounds. The resident cat named 'La Marquesa' patrols the fortifications, parking lot and reception.

The breakfast was excellent, I didn’t get in the pool but it seemed hard to get to. We ate a menu del dia at mid day so could have welcomed more snacks at the bar in the evening.

Exceptional views from our balcony. Very clean rooms and comfortable bed. Helpful staff. Very good breakfast and evening meal. Hope to return soon

We liked the pool and the views. Not far from the city center if a small climb via stairs and steep incline is not a problem.
