A very cozy traditional Japanese style home. Good value and extremely close to major spots like Shinjuku and Harajuku without the crowds which at this price point is hard to find, the two owners are also very lovely and I had great conversations with both of them! Felt as if I was staying with at my grandparents place - so it brought back a lot of nostalgia. They have been through many tough financial times previously so I am glad to support a local business as well :)

You get what you paid. Valued accommodation. Blanket was very warm during cold winter. Got everything you need. Not super clean but you can clean the room yourself.

I had a wonderful stay for a week at this property. The owners are friendly and take care of you. The location is fantastic- a few minutes from the station and 10 mins travel time from downtown Shinjuku. The room is traditional and has great charm, as do the wider facilities. Will remember my stay here and hope to return in 2025!

Lives up to the expectations if not better. Had a wonderful couple of nights with wanting for more. The host tries to does her best to make the guests comfortable, she even had moomin cups to welcome me, when she read I come from Finland. Had wonderful chats with her husband as well who’s also always there to give a helping hand with anything you need. Thanks for the local Japanese hospitality. Hope to visit again the next time I’m in Tokyo!

The nostalgia of the room, the furniture and decoration. We arrived on the rainy day so it was peaceful to listen to the rain in the traditional home at night.

This was perfect stay for our first days in Japan. We felt here like in someone’s home. It’s oldish place, but for us it was comfortable enough, very clean and with amazing atmosphere. In my opinion this is the best area to stay - lots of restaurants but not touristy. Just next to train station. There is lot of rules to follow, but I guess it’s all Japan like this.

Good and quite emplacement in Shinjuku, 2 min walk to Takanobaba station and 30 min walk to Kabukichõ district. Nice and kind owners, thank you for your ospitality.
