Just a 3-minute walk from JR Shin-Okubo Train Station, Sekitei provides simple Japanese-style rooms with futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. Each air-conditioned room includes an en suite bathroom and an LCD TV, while free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

This side-street might be a bit hard to find for a first-time guest. We strongly recommend printing out the map or the pictures in this page in advance.

I've stayed at Shin Okubo Sekitei two years in a row, and it will always be my "go to" whenever I return to Tokyo. The staff are so wonderful, friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and the futon super comfortable. The location is fantastic, a 2 minute walk and you're at either Shin Okubo Station or Okubo Station, but despite being so close to the stations and main road, the hotel is really quiet and restful at night. Thank you for another great stay!

Stayed here for just one night. The room was very neat and host were very kind. They even kept our luggage before check-in as well as after check out.

Perfect for what it is!! Small but so cozy and tidy with every convenience you need. Love the traditional style- but it did mean we needed to duck to avoid hitting heads on the doorframes! Great location on a super convenient train line but the neighbourhood itself felt peaceful and approachable- tucked between busy centres of Shinjuku.
