Please check in at the Ocean Wing.Ryokan Shiojitei's hot spring baths are located a 5-minute walk away from the hotel. Please note that slippers and nightwear may not be worn outside the building.A free shuttle is available every 30 minutes from Kintetsu Toba Station, between 08:45 to 11:45 and from 12:30 to 18:00. Reservation is not needed.Guests arriving after 18:00 must inform the property in advance. Contact details can be found on the booking confirmation. If the property is not informed, the booking may be treated as a no-show.Guests with children must inform the property at time of booking. Please specify how many children will be staying with you and their respective ages in the special request box.Please note that the maximum occupancy of the room includes all children and cannot be exceeded under any circumstances. For extra guests exceeding the room occupancy, guests will be asked to separate rooms and additional charges will apply. Guests may not be accommodated if there is no availability.Guests with a dinner-inclusive reservation can chose between a French or Japanese kaiseki meal. The hotel was a bit dated, but the room was spacious and with a great view. Staff were friendly and helpful. The big disappointment was that the bar was permanently closed!!

Not everyone but one of the driver for Shuttle bus ( train station to the hotel ) was rude. We got on the bus on 27th of March 2015. The other staffs were very nice and professional.

This hotel is amazing. The rooms are huge and so comfortable, the staff exceptional and the breakfast buffet had a huge selection of Western and Japanese options. The view from the outdoor lounge is incredible. We got up to watch the sunrise from the outdoor area and the staff provided the guests (there were about 10-12 of us) with coffee while we enjoyed the changing colours. There is a lot of history here as the Emperor stays here and Queen Elizabeth did as well. It’s lovely to see they celebrate this with their displays.

Nice hotel with many nice spots to take photos and with good view of the ocean. We happened to be there where there are fireworks. Hotel has its own shop, good for some last minute buying. Staff were professional and friendly. They even provide senbei in the room, my daughters love it! Location near to pearl island, toba aquarium.

The views from the hotel are gorgeous, especially the outdoor patio/lounge area. Tatami room was very spacious and perfect for our family with young children. Staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Shuttle bus service to and from Toba station was very helpful.

Excellent, friendly staff. Professional translation technology available for 17 languages in case of language barriers. Nice room with view, luxury amenities (Mikimoto) and option to go to the onsen, overall a fantastic stay.

There is a nice ambience about the hotel. The full buffet breakfast was excellent. The onsen facility is a short walk to a neighbouring property. It had one indoor bath and two outdoor which were great despite not having a view.
