The staff were very friendly and super helpful, the hotel is located right outside Knightshayes and you can just walk across the road to enter the estate.

The location of this hotel is excellent, direct link to the M5 via the North Devon link road whilst also offering an easy connection to Exmoor. We arrived on a Sunday lunch time for a 2 night stay. The restaurant was fully booked for Sunday lunch and the waiting staff attended to us superbly - they have an excellent and passionate head waitor who was the highlight of our stay! Our standard double room was well equipped and very comfortable. I had initially booked a cosy double room but on reading other reviews, I decided to upgrade and was very pleased we did so as our upgraded room was well away from the busy road. We ate at the restaurant on our second evening, again the Head Waitor and his team were very attentive and the food excellent!

The location for us was great, plenty of walks with the dog, evening meal was very good, staff very friendly and knowledgeable regarding the area, the garden and outside sitting area is very pleasant and the little bridge and waterfall very relaxing, also love the idea that the secondary carpark on a school day is used for dropping off point for the primary school, now that's community spirit.
