What we liked- The rooms were spacious and the pool good. The manager was very friendly. We liked the design of the property. What we disliked- There are no restaurants, ATMs or stores in walking distance. As a result we had to have all meals here. We found them overpriced and very slow to come out.

Very cosy grounds with a gorgeous view Great breakfast (more than enough) + the breakfast package in safari was also very nice Spacious room The staff is really friendly and kind Lots of critters around (lizards, frogs, snake, ...) The room had a little fridge We had a tuktuk so could easily visit the lovely surroundings like the lake and temple

What a special place surrounded by nature. The room (family room) was well proportioned and well furnished. The indoor out door bathroom was quite unique - we loved it! Breakfast was a lovely mix of western and Sri Lankan, I loved the breakfast curry 🥘 A lovely swimming pool overlooking the local rice fields was a welcome treat in the heat of the afternoon. A perfect destination for couples and families a like.

I had a pleasant stay at Gaga Bees Yala during my Sri Lanka trip. The room was nice and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was enjoyable, and the interior design of the place was truly impressive—full of charm and style. A great spot to experience Yala!

The staff made this eco lodge stay for us! They organised an impeccable safari experience (we went for the full day but be aware that you will spend a couple of hours at a lunch spot so bring a book or card game). We were lucky enough to see leopards and elephants! The hotel is really beautiful and authentic with delicious local cuisine. Just note it is cash only so bring lots to pay for stay and food.

Great stay at Gaga Bees Yala! The staff are so lovelt and acocmodating including the manger who took gret care of us making sure we had everything we needed included a packed lunch for our Safari the next day for the early start. We booked the safari through them and I would reccomend this as it was superb! Our driver was great and we got to see a leoppard which we were so happy about. The hotel and rooms are so beautifully decorated and sit in the middle of fields with no noise other than nature. The rooms are beauitfully decoraed and huge. You have nice options to sit ourside our room , where we were lucky enough to get surronded by fieflies! We used the pool area an this was lovely and clean - Cant say we had any negative experience. We ate here for dinner most of hte food was overcooked however we did appraicte this as to not have any upset stomaches the morning of our safari, and prices we good! Fun experience of frogs in the bathroom , they do prewarn you of this so its not a suprise and to be honest all adds to the charm of this eco hotel.

This is a lovely hotel with incredibly friendly staff. The setting is peaceful, featuring adorable little cottages with unique bathrooms (including a hot shower) and spacious rooms. In many ways, this place has the potential to be an amazing stay, but a few aspects were disappointing. It was a bit frustrating that the pool was being cleaned in the afternoon upon arrival—this is something you’d expect to be done in the morning so guests can enjoy it later in the day. The dining area is cozy but lacks ambiance; playing some music, adding fans for both cooling and mosquito control, and improving the lighting would make a big difference. Also, the advertised 20% discount on the safari tour was already deducted from the total price, which felt somewhat misleading. With a few small improvements, this hotel could truly be a fantastic stay!

Our stay at Gaga Bees was very comfortable. The hotel has a relaxing pool and lovely cabins. The staff was incredibly kind, preparing a delicious dinner for us and even arranging a takeaway breakfast for our early safari. Their thoughtful service made our experience even more enjoyable.

Beautiful hotel. Each room is a separate lodge and big pool. Staff were very attentive and friendly. We got a 20% discount on the Yala Safari through booking with hotel and it was a brilliant day. Great location for the safari and meals were lovely. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice and clean
