Hosts will go above and beyond to make you feel like at home. The host organises every evening a free bird watching tour around the lake that is amazing!! They even packed us breakfast for us to take on the safari at 4:30am.

After some time travelling I feel safe to say that you can tell the difference between people just making money of you and people who really know what they are doing and want the best for you. And Priya only wants the best for you and he will go out of his way to give you anything you want. From picking us up at the bus stop for free, coming to get us when it started raining and we were in the city, taking us to a beautiful little safari around the lake at sunset showing us lots of birds, crocodiles and bats, recommending us which buses to take from and to other destinations, to organizing the best safari we could hope for. He recommended us to do a full day in block 1 and we are really happy we took his advice. Priya works with very experienced guides and we had an amazing safari and even though it was peak season we managed to be most of the day alone and witness the park for what it is with its beauty and variety of animals. The accomodation itself is quite simple but it was more than enough for us. Nice clean room, good wifi, good AC, good food, comfortable bed. Absolutely recommend!

Room was clean, cool and comfortable. Host was very friendly and went the extra mile to pick me up and drop me off for busses, and to take us out on an evening wildlife tour. When I missed the bus he negotiated a cheap taxi for me. He also organised a great safari trip with a fantastic guide.

The host picked us up in bus station and Also helped us which bus to také from Ella And we were in contact since then. After our arrival we received fresh coconut. ☺️ Priya was very nice to us and in the evening took us on a lake tour with bird watching, which was great! 😍 Priya Also booked us Safari fot the nexr day! The room was clean and had everything what we needed.

The service at this accommodation is exceptional - the host was so friendly and welcoming, and he did his best to ensure that we had a great time. We arrived late after a long journey and he immediately made us a fruit platter and sandwiches! He also gave us a lift to the bus stop on departure, and refused to accept payment for either of these gestures! We also booked our safari through the hotel, which was an amazing experience! Overall, the hospitality is what makes this an exceptional place to stay, but our room was also very spacious, clean and had powerful AC. Incredible value for money - a must-stay if you visit Yala National Park!

We stayed at Blue Birds Tissa for one night to do the morning safari at Yala National Park. Priya organized our pick-up from Ella and welcomed us with a fresh coconut drink. We also had lunch and dinner at the home stay which were freshly made and really delicious. The room was clean and providing everything you need. The location is close to a lake where Priya took us on a free bird’s safari in the afternoon. He also organized the safari to Yala NP and the transport to our next location. Priya and his family are going above and beyond to give their guests the best stay possible to a reasonable price. Thanks again for our great stay!

We had the time of our lives in Blue Birds Tissa and Yala Safari. The host, Priya, is extremely hospitable and a great person to chat with. We appreciate everything he did for us and we recommend staying in his place. His wife cooks wonderful meals, the room is perfect with great facilities. The safari booked with Priya was also nice.

Extremely kind & accomodating hosts. They served us coconut water on arrival. The location is 45 mins away from yala national park, block 1. The host himself arranges safari so guests can book with him. He is very prompt for all the needs and he contacted us as soon as we booked the stay. Our food choices were very well taken care of. Lovely breakfast: pic attached. He let us check out a little late as we wanted to do the safari and provided us breakfast when we wanted. Room was very nice with clean linen and towels. Soaps were provided. Hot water was available. Ceiling fan present. Host keeps all necessary beverages in the fridge which can be bought from him.

Priya was amazing, took me out for a bats and crocodile tour on my first night at the property. Also arranged the safari and dropped me at the place for the correct bus at no extra fee.
