Was a quirky cottage which had sympathetically modernised. I had never cooked on an Aga before so that was a whole we experience (good and fun)! Location was almost perfect - we had four lovely walks - Mam Tor and Kinder Scout were the highlights but a kcal walk in Buxton and Miller’s Dale were also good. Only downside was having to walk our dogs on leads as the delicate creatures they are they could not bring themselves to do what dogs do n the terraced garden!! Loved Billy Whiskeys and would come back again.

Everything, the location, the quirky rabbit hole-like layout that was also like a TARDIS. The log burner and argor, the many places to congregate and socialise. The pub directly across the road. The attention to detail and cleanliness. OUTSTANDING getaway xxxx
