The staff was very kind and available for any need we had. The rooms are spacious, well-taste decorated and the view from the balcony it’s simply amazing.

Great atmosphere, the rooms are directed to the seaside view which is amazing. Breakfast selection is basic but tasty. There’s a nice vibe in front od hotel as many people come around for lunch and diner. Really cozy place ro stay. We enjoyed it a lot!

Big comfortable room, lovely ocean view. Very nice breakfast. Lovely beach, easy to swim in the sea as there is no reef (therefore not much marine life so not a snorkelling spot, but we were happy to get our snorkelling etc elsewhere and this made swimming more relaxed as we didn't worry about standing on a sting ray etc...). We ordered some mocktails (Thulusdoo is a dry island, alcohol is banned FYI) and they were excellent, highly recommend! The hotel looks after the local cats so they lounge around the lobby (including tiny kittens!) - we loved to see this, the cats are happy and well cared for and don't bother anyone. They are well fed so none of them beg for food, they're safe and cared for so they're not afraid of people. It's such a nice thing to see stray animals looked after! In a lot of holiday spots the sight of cats and dogs struggling to survive is so upsetting but here at Canopus and all around Thulusdoo we noticed the cats are safe and happy, which was wonderful to see. This was a real bonus for us but if you don't like cats it may not be for you.

If you’re looking for a simple place by the sea, without too much luxury, I think Canopus perfectly meets your expectations. It’s a simple place, not overly fancy, but it delivers on what it promises. I also wanted to mention Giovanni, the manager of Canopus. He’s a gentleman, a very kind and helpful person, and we had some truly pleasant and fun conversations with him.

Everything! The hosts always going that extra mile to provide the best experience to the guests, the friendly and competent staff, the fantastic room with ocean view, the amazing location - right on the beach and very close from Cokes and Chickens, the delicious food - plenty of variety with great quality, the wi-fi… everything was to the highest standard. On a personal note, I do not mind the cats at all but it is something to consider when booking with this fantastic Retreat. They are just impossible to avoid. Anyway, I highly recommend this place. 🙂

-The localisation on the beach was perfect, it was very cosy outside with all the lights especially in the evening, there was a hammock which was great for relaxing. - the staff was so welcoming and helpful, they were really kind and cared for all guests - we had a transfer to the hotel from the speedboat and on the way back which was really nice - the food was really good

The accommodation boasts a charming ambiance with a distinct Italian influence. We were treated to a breathtaking view from our room. Additionally, the facility is home to numerous friendly cats, making it an ideal destination for feline enthusiasts. We also found an abundance of reading material available. Furthermore, the beach is absolutely splendid, and enjoying breakfast while gazing out at the ocean was a truly delightful experience. Their food is amazing and prices are pocket-friendly.
