It is a nice location for Sequoia National Park. A short drive down the road offers a handful of different restaurants and shops. The pool was closed, but the river is just behind the hotel and probably better for a dip anyway. The room was spacious and clean. The AC unit seemed a bit old (and loud) but did the job well enough. The walls, or maybe just the ceiling, are a bit thin; we could hear folks upstairs walking about and turning their AC on and off. However, it wasn't a big deal, and I still slept fine.

Fantastic location (especially for sequoia national park), kids play equipment, included breakfast with waffles and fruit was a nice surprise. Staff helpful in locating toy left behind.

We loved the large pool and sun loungers. Breakfast was waffles and toast and fruit which was basic but ok. An hours drive up the Generals Highway to the Sherman Tree hiking area.

Great location, very close to Sequoia park entrance, but also to a few very solid breakfast and dinner options (for breakfast we went to Sequoia Coffee Co - good coffee and breakfast burritos; for dinner, went to Tony's Taverna, an outdoor venue and very solid food from a truck). The room was enormous and generally clean. The small issue we had with access was fixed immediately. The parking was free and plentiful.

We had a one-night stay and were drawn in by the low price after reading the reviews. The breakfast was disappointing, with only toast, waffles, coffee, tea, bananas, and apples. The room was clean, but we didn't use the pool, so we can't comment on that. The staff seemed indifferent, though there was free parking available. It's okay to stay for one night
