Bed and Breakfast Overview

Located just outside the market town of Thirsk, in between the North York Moors & Dales , The Poplars offers bed and breakfast accommodation as well as 5 self catering holiday cottages. Each accommodation has its own private access and free parking. Free WiFi is available on-site, in the rooms and guest lounge.

The chalet was comfortable and clean. There were ample facilities for self-catering and the location was in close proximity to the facilities of Thirsk, York and the wider Yorkshire region.

Location was awesome with plenty of parking space. Herriot cottage has everything you need and the shower is absolutely wonderful. Didn't get to meet any staff over the holiday period (we missed each other) but communication with Amanda was great.

We stayed in the Granary Cottage. We were there for a family wedding and we definitely won the accommodation game. We had the best by far of everyone. The Kitchen was neat and well organised, which saved us a lot of money by not eating out. More than everything we needed was provided - they even had an ironing board provided to spruce up our posh clothes before going to the wedding. The bed was lovely, the sofa was very comfortable and having our own space beyond a hotel room was such a wonderful relief. We found it very relaxing and would be very happy to visit again.

Loved the accomodation was very cosy, with onsite parking. Thirsk is a gorgeous village and easy access to York by train.
