The Komplementär Gjonj is the perfect starting point for your time in Theth. It’s located about 3km before the village so if you go by car, you don’t have to use the bad roads of Theth itself and it’s still close enough to walk to the village (around 30 min) where all the hike start. The included breakfast is served buffet style so you can make sure to eat enough before going out. Dinner is optional but we definitely recommend it since it’s nice that most people sit there together, having dinner. It’s freshly cooked, tasty and reasonably priced. Our hosts were beyond friendly. Elena (9 years old) and her sisters almost run the place and are happy to welcome you. Her English is perfect and she’s happy to translate for her father, the owner. He helped us with our flat tire, even bought a new one in Shkoder for us and fixed it himself. Thanks again for making our stay so nice!
