Spackman “Lovely guesthouse in beautiful location”

Lovely guesthouse in a beautiful location in the mountains, when the weathers clear there’s a wonderful view over the Theth valley. The owners were so welcoming and friendly, despite not speaking English. Delicious food (absolutely loads of food!), comfortable cosy rooms. There was a fire in the dining area which was very welcome and handy for drying stuff when it rained. Only 1 bathroom between 7 hikers but this didn’t cause any issues. It’s approximately 40minute walk from centre of Theth, steep uphill. This isn’t the most convenient for accessing Theth but it’s great for the Theth-valbona hike as it’s right on the trail so you get to miss a chunk of steep assent, so it depends what you want. We did get a 4x4 taxi once in a thunderstorm for €25.

The scenery here was absolutely stunning, and for anybody doing the Theth - Valbone hike, already around 40 minutes up the trail (which we were very grateful of two hours into the uphill climb to the pass, less so on the the previous days hikes in the opposite direction 😁). The owners were really welcoming, allowing us to check in early and store our bags there. The breakfast and dinner (15 euros a head) are HUGE and freshly cooked by the host, really delicious and they were able to cater to us as veggies. All round, really great stay!

Extremely welcoming and friendly hosts. Beds comfy, rooms spacious, shower hot and clean. Breakfast and dinner portions are huge, delicious, and all homemade, enough leftovers to take on the hike for lunch. Arrived after a long hike from Vusanje. Guesthouse is up a hill. However, it takes away 300m of elevation on the next hike to Valbone and is directly on the path, so it's definitely worth it for Peaks of the Balkans trip. It's also still close to Theth and anything you need from there. Views are outstanding. Super cute cat who loves pats, too.

It’s right at the end of the Valbonë-Theth walk. You also cut your walk a little shorter by 30 minutes by not going down an very steep hill (which you don’t have to do the day after) We had AMAZING dinner, it’s like I was eating at my mother’s home. Everything was yummy and fresh. Just 15 euros per person. After that walk it will be much needed. It looked like a lot but we managed to eat everything. Very nice and friendly people, especially the mother! Amazing views as well! And a nice little garden to rest.
