Location is a short walk from the park entrance, making it an excellent base for doing tours in Periyar National Park. The owner was also excellently helpful, purchasing tour tickets on our behalf before we arrived and arranging a very calm & safe driver to do the journey from and back to the coast. Our room had a nice balcony with seating for us to relax on and the freshly made Keralan breakfast (for a small extra charge) were great.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was vey good, the shower was hot and it was nice to have a balcony overlooking the garden. There were also several options close by for eating (and even for getting a beer!)

Excellent value you for money. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend getting a balcony room looking into the garden if you can. Also one of the best showers we have had during our entire stay across India. Staff are super helpful with helping to choose what to do during your stay. We highly recommend to everyone!

The Hospitality of Mr.Suresh was above the mark and the location was too close to all tourist spots that you can easily walk everywhere

We stayed for three days with our family and fell in love with this place! Green view is an absolute gem with the most lovely and genuinely kind host ever. The exterior is also much more beautiful than on the pictures. It has a lush, green garden and balconies overlooking the forest. We loved having breakfast (tasty South Indian and/or continental, fresh fruits, brew coffee and masala chai whatever you wish for they will make it for you!) there with our kids there every morning. The host Suresh really makes his absolute utmost to help you plan your stay and accommodate your needs - booked us drivers from Kochi and later to Varkala, arranged tickets for cultural programs, Ayurvedic massages, laundry, rickshaw for the spice garden and the elephant shelter… Everything without adding extra charges, as we paid directly to the service providers. He also gave us valuable advice for his to best enjoy the nature reserve with kids and then our excursion to the cardamom hills. Highly recommended and we would love to cone back one day!

This was by far the best Homestay I’ve been to since I’ve arrived in Kerala! Everything about this place is great - the location, the rooms, the atmosphere and most importantly, the lovely host, Suresh! From the very beginning he went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable as possible! He is the kindest, most genuine host with a big heart. In fact, I liked this place so much that I’ve decided to stay for an extra week! The location of the Homestay is perfect- it’s in the main town, yet the garden is so quiet and secluded surrounded by trees and animals, that you’ll feel you are in the jungle! It is beautiful and peaceful whilst just a stone throw away from the main shops, restaurants and cafes! The rooms are super clean, the beds are very comfortable and the hot water is hot with good pressure for an enjoyable shower. All rooms have a balcony with magical view of the tropical trees with monkeys, squirrels and rare bird varieties. The breakfast is delicious with a good selection of South Indian and continental food with the most delicious masala chai you must try! All in all, this was an amazing stay! Thekkady is beautiful, with lots to do if you are looking for nature activities, and a very nice town centre filled with spice shops, great restaurants and cafes! The climate here is beautiful - not too hot and just right! If you are visiting, you must stay in Green View - it really is an exceptional property!!

Great location to the wildlife reserve. Balcony views into the trees were great for bird watching.
