Very homely, and there’s a great effort to keep the room clean. Love the tile work. The highlight was the excellent welcome and matching home-cooked food. I do find it sometimes to eat spicy foods but this was not a problem. Usha and hep helper Rama were excellent host.

A very welcoming and relaxed place to stay. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated with pleasant verandas. Staff very helpful and Rama's home cooked meals were delicious. Definitely recommend.

Very friendly and helpful hostess Drama, quiet location with easy and cheap tuktuk in to town. Great breakfast each morning. Tired the first night so ate in, excellent. We then arranged a cooking session with Drama, making three curries, interesting and very tasty. We also got our laundry done.

A great place. It is just outside the city so it is quiet and calm. We could walk into the city in about 20 minutes. We enjoyed walking around the villages near the homestay. The people were welcoming and friendly. Usha is a wonderful host. She is helpful and thoughtful. The meals were very good. The room was very comfortable. Highly recommend staying here.

I arrived at Tanjore Homestay feeling pretty overwhelmed—it’s my first solo trip, and by the time I got to Thanjavur, I’d hit a bit of a wall. Thankfully, this place was exactly what I needed. It’s away from the hustle and bustle, which instantly helped me reset and get my head back in the game. The staff here were great—super helpful. They sorted out my laundry, arranged evening meals, got me a rickshaw to the centre when I needed it. My room was comfortable, with a large bathroom and some basic toiletries. They had a kettle with tea/coffee, which was a nice touch. The WiFi was a bit hit-and-miss, but I didnt mind. The location itself is a little out of the way, and the view isn’t much to write home about, but that didn’t matter to me. I needed to recharge, and it was perfect for that. To be honest, I spent most of my time at the homestay—so much so that I’m sure the staff probably thought I was doing nothing (and they’d be right). I saw what I wanted to see in Thanjavur and really appreciated having this quiet, welcoming space to come back to. I’m so glad I stayed here and would happily return. Thanks again to the team!

Tanjore Homestay is a nice gem in Thanjavur. The staff is incredibly caring, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable, adding to the homely and relaxing atmosphere. It’s a great place to stay if you’re looking for nice people and comfort in Thanjavur.

Very cute furnitures and decorations I love it. Bathroom is very clean. I ordered breakfast and dinner, I could taste homemade South Indian foods. I think it's difficult to find to dishes like that in the restaurant of city. Maybe it's expensive little bit, but it's worth it. ( If you want to experience Indian local culture ) The host were very nice. It's far from the center of city, but they arranged auto for me every time. I can't find Uber driver around here so it was really helpful. And they helped me to wear a saree, it is unforgettable memory for me. I will definitely come visit again when I visit to Thanjavur. Thank you.

Fillings like my own home. The caretaker staff is very very good and cooperative. Tasty food offered.
