This heritage style home stay is truly upto the marks as to get the feeling of being in an authentic environment. It is located in a quite street maybe not exactly at walking distance to the city's attractions but its charm will thrill you if you appreciate the traditional South Indian interior architectural design. Big comfortable rooms and common areas with all the facilities. Kettle, coffee, tea, drinking water, all that in the room ready for you as well as provided by the attendant in the kitchen if you are lazy enough not to want to do your cup of tea yourself.

Super. Home away from home. The attendant, Mr Kumar was extremely helpful in providing a homely atmosphere. I wish him and the Kanna Nivas a very successful time ahead.

"It feels like home" - that were the vibes I felt as soon as I entered the premises. I had booked a room in the villa for 2 days after reading the reviews and the reviews are all right. The villa is well maintained, clean and hygienic. As a north Indian travelling solo, I found this villa a perfect south indian home as shown in movies. The swing, the natraj, wooden furniture and paintings, they all were a delight to the eyes. The room was of good size with all basic amenities as mentioned available. Being a solo female traveller, I felt safe staying in this villa. The owner was available on call and a caretaker was there for the upkeep of the property. Definitely would recommend others if they are looking for a home like accommodation in Thanjavur.

A very aesthetically done villa, offering a flavor of Southern India as soon as we enter. The owner was helpful in guiding about local shopping and also finding reliable local transport. Liked the home stay feel.
